Applications, issues and future prospects of quantitative tools in economic planning : Nepalese Experience
(1998-02) Khanal, D.R; Khatiwada, Raj Yuba
The history of economic modeling in Nepal is not very long. The initial attempt in this direction was made in the early 1980s by individual researchers rather than by planning agency and other government institutions. These models therefore were developed and constructed with limited research objectives, Among these models one examined the role of the monetary sector and another made an effort to assess the macro-economic impact of the public expenditure on real sector of the Nepalese economy.
