To provide for the establishment of the National authority on Tobacco and Alcohol for the purpose of facilitating the implementation of a national policy on tobacco and alcohol and for the elimination of tobacco and alcohol related harm through the assessment and monitoring of the production marketing and consumption of tobacco and alcohol products; to make provision to deter persons especially children from taking up to smoking and alcohol consumption by reducing their access to tobacco and alcohol products; and for matters connected therewith or incidental there to.
