dc.description.abstract |
Sri Lanka is a major supplier of domestic labour to foreign countries. Such migration, usually entails the worker to be away from their homes and families for over two years. The impact of such long absences on the children of women migrants is the focus of this study. It also examines the strategies taken by these women to overcome the negative consequences of their absence on their families. Several policy recommendations are made to mitigate these negative impacts. |
