Gender and migration have many nuances. Male and female migration impact differently on the family dynamics with the resources and strategies employed being at variance. This study which is conducted in the Colombo and Kurunegala Districts in Sri Lanka is based on examining support networks for spouses of migrants, and the gender effects of such support systems. |
