dc.description.abstract The study is aimed at providing some workable solutions to the myriad problems faced by women domestic migrants, both at home and their country of migration. Many incidences of harassments faced by such migrant women domestic workers have been recorded. The causes leading to migration of these women, post arrival assistance provided to them, the many hazards relating to abuse and exploitation, are also explored, with data obtained from six districts in the country. It was distressing to note that only 30% of migrants were able to fulfil their expectations of migration, and improve their lives. The study concludes with recommendations for the alleviation of the situation of migrant women. en_US
