dc.description.abstract This study is based on women migrants who have returned prior to their contracted term of employment from the Middle East due to violation of their human rights. These include infringements of employment contracts, or absence of contracts, poor working and living conditions, limited freedom of movement, harassment and violence, health and safety risks, lack of social protection, forced labour and debt bondage. The study was based on interviews held with women returnees and officers of Sahana Piyasa, an arm of the Bureau of Foreign Employment. Both qualitative and quantitative data was used for the study. en_US
