Abstract:
This report is a summary of the proceedings of the International Conference organised by the Institute of Policy Studies on “Policies for Mainstreaming Migration into Development in Sri Lanka”. The local and international stakeholders who participated in the conference discussed policy initiatives aimed at mainstreaming migration into development under the three sub-themes: 1) Sri Lanka’s potential to penetrate new labour markets, 2) Vulnerability of female domestic workers, and 3) Reintegration of returnee migrant workers.
