dc.description.abstract Japan is a much sought after destination for employment for Sri Lankans due to high wages offered by the employers. Not many studies have been conducted on labour migrants in Japan, and this book seems to fill the void. It aims to discover both economic and non economic causes of labour migration from Sri Lanka to Japan. It attempts to analyse the trends, causes and structural changes in labour markets in Japan and Sri Lanka, with a view to understanding what influences the labour flow between the two countries. The economy and labour markets of both countries have been given good coverage. en_US
