dc.description.abstractThree protected forests Sinharaja,Knuckles and peak wilderness are considered to be the most important nature reserves in Sri Lanka. The Knuckles range of forests lies in the Kandy and Matale districts of Sri Lanka and geomorphologically is part of the central highlands.These forests provide great environmental services as watersheds and climatic moderalors for the region. They also contain many endemic plant and animal species.en_US
